Sean Carroll, Principal and Head of Business Development

Sean is a driven entrepreneur with an insatiable curiosity, and a passion for learning and growth.

After serving as a public school music teacher for 7 years, he built an award winning real estate sales practice from zero to over $5.5 million in sales volume in less than 12 months, all during the “Great Recession” of 2008-2009.

As an early adopter of social media and online marketing, he generated thousands of leads via blogging, email marketing, and social media at a time when many Realtors were leaving the business, and his colleagues were telling him he was “nuts” for wasting his time on Facebook.

Over the past decade, he has built loyal, highly engaged audiences on several social media platforms, including over 20,000 followers on a single TikTok account in less than 6 months.

In 2009, he launched his first consulting company, and for over 13 years, Sean has helped hundreds of small businesses grow their revenue through both “old school” and “new school” lead generation and sales conversion strategies.

In 2021 he finally realized it was time to partner with his wife, Tanya, to bring his expertise and passion for small business to HR Kickstart, where he is head of business development and Chief of Staff. (He’s thrilled she said yes!)

Sean is also a professional musical theater actor, and still appears on stages periodically, so if you play your cards right, you might just get a free performance!
